You are eligible if your company is based in Luxembourg, has more than 50 staff, turnover above EUR 10M, and a structuring AI project. We validate eligibility at the first call.
SME Package targets SMEs established in Luxembourg, with fewer than 50 staff and turnover below EUR 10M. It funds a targeted AI project (POC, tool, training).
Yes, conditionally. You cannot combine two grants on the same scope, but you can sequence Fit 4 AI then SME Package, or combine with other Luxinnovation programmes on distinct scopes.
Plan 4 to 8 weeks for Fit 4 AI (full review), 3 to 6 weeks for SME Package (faster guichet.lu submission). Times depend on file quality and workload.
We assess eligibility before any submission. If rejected, we adjust the scope and resubmit at no extra administrative cost. The rejection reason is always documented by Luxinnovation.
On Fit 4 AI, the diagnostic is included in the subsidised scope at 50%. On SME Package, it is optional and can be included in the project or billed separately.

Yes. File preparation, exchanges with Luxinnovation or guichet.lu, adjustments, and review tracking are part of the main engagement.
Fit 4 AI and SME Package are the two AI-specific programmes operated by Luxinnovation. Other aid exists (R&D, digitalisation, ecology) but with different criteria and reviewers.
Yes on distinct projects. Sequencing Fit 4 AI (strategy + scoping) then SME Package (first operational tool) is even recommended to structure an AI transformation.
On Fit 4 AI, progressive disbursement: 60% at start after convention signature, 40% on validated delivery. On SME Package, payment after delivery and expense validation.
All sectors are eligible, provided the company is established in Luxembourg and the AI project meets the criteria. Banking, insurance, industry, services, healthcare, retail.
Several hundred Luxembourg SMEs and mid-caps have mobilised Fit 4 AI or SME Package since launch. Luxinnovation publishes annual programme tracking.
The project core must be AI (machine learning, NLP, vision, generative, AI automation). Classic software components may be integrated if they serve the main AI project.
Cost depends on scope. For Fit 4 AI, expect EUR 60-200K total project of which 50% subsidised. For SME Package, EUR 7-35K of which 70% subsidised. Detailed quote is set at the diagnostic.
